Impeach Bush--Index 52
|
The problem with this essay is that it falsely assumes Bush was once a good president. That's simply not the case. The man has always been a complete idiot; whether passing tax cuts in the face of trillions of dollars of debt or lying about a threat to Air Force One on 9/11. An epic collapse requires a once strong foundation. There was no foundation, only spin...endless spin. April 5, 2007 Regardless of what you think of Israel or Saudi Arabia, should any country have veto power over who we sell to? April 4, 2007 When the GOP was still in power the media gave fake science equal footing with real science. It's amazing how fast things change. April 6, 2007 Its good to see there are some people still willing to raise the money necessary to defeat people who preach Christianity but then act as heathens when they get into office. Every congress person and senator who votes for this anti gay crap should be targeted and defeated. Discrimination is not an American value. April 4, 2007 Democrats have no one to blame but themselves. Just a few days ago Biden said Bush should be impeached but it was impractical. Pelosi took impeachment off the table. Bush has shown nothing but contempt for congress since he was appointed to the office. He's broken nearly all our laws while the US Supreme Court sits on its ass and the congress creates the illusion they want investigations. IMO, the Congress and the Court should do their jobs or go home (without pay). April 6, 2007 I'm sure which news organization is worse; Reuters, which thinks policital news is dictating the latest White House memo or the AP which simple writes fake news (Fox-style). The Washington Post also came out strongly against the Pelosi visit to Syria (their need for another fake war is paletteable), ignoring the fact that numerous republicans have gone to Syria also. Reuters, the AP and the Washington Post need to start firing incompetent reporters. Their credibility is already been destroyed and with each goof-ball story like this they look more like GOP spin meisters and less like journalists. April 4, 2007 Long after Bush is gone and forgotten, military leaders will be forced to explain why they supported a war based on nothingness and why they didn't do more to stop it. Finally, they'll have to explain how it's possible the most advanced military in the world has was defeated in a country that has no military. Military carreers will end in disgrace...as they should. April 5, 2007 This is a very long article but it's worth the click. Yoo thinks a US president can order child rape if necessary. Hitler would have been proud to have John Yoo working for him. US lawyers can find an intellectual reason to break any law. It's appalling that this man hasn't been disbarred. March 17, 2007 For nearly 30 years the media gave the GOP a honeymoon. It appears the honeymoon is over and divorce is in the air. While it's refershing to see White House lies blown apart by the press, we've had to wait a very long time. Now all we need is a congress with the courage to do the right thing. Where do we find one? April 4, 2007 We have the Supreme Court to blame for this foreign policy disaster. With each passing month the reputation of the United States goes further in the toilet while the Court sits on its collective ass and lets Bush violate the Geneva Conventions. By now most thinking Americans have as much distain for the Supreme Court as they do for Bush and all things conservative. April 4, 2007 We have assholes in congress), {cowards like Biden and Pelosi) who says they won't impeach Bush no matter what he does...so what does he do? He breaks our laws with impunity. We need to find Senators who will defend the US Constitution from all enemies...including our biggest enemy - President of the United States. April 5, 2007 Our reputation around the world would be restored within minutes of impeachment. Have you ever seen a finer group of cowards? April 4, 2007 There are still two things the US can do better than any other country. Pass tax cuts and create debt for the next generation to pay off and go to war for no reason and dupe the people into falling for it. In the mean time, the US is no longer the technological leader of the world and our stock market is smaller than that of Europe. Europeans also have better health care and better environmental standards (their vehicle MPG is significantly higher than the US). While all this is going on we have a president demanding more money for a war that's already lost and a media that thinks Democrats are the bad guys. As of April 3, 2007, the Bush debt stands at $3,141,033,227,737.75. April 2 2007 April 3, 2007 April 3, 2007 The Supreme Court is the problem. Not only do they deprive the so-called guilty of a speedy and open trial, but they won't allow review of these cases nor will they allow POWs to sue the government for torture. Their only recourse is to rot in prison, year after year.... It took five years for this case to go to trial (a trial that was public)...why did it take so long? April 03, 2007 April 2, 2007 The government knew the documents were phoney and Bush still used them in the State of the Union. He lied to Congress and the American people in an offical document required by the Constiutiton. Readers of this site were well aware of the lies in real time. Some are just coming to understand the scope of the lies. The media, which was fully capable of dispelling the lies, sat back and let the White House lie to us. This White House is shameless, but what are we to make of the hapless journalists who let Bush get away with lying to us? We knew Bush lied about uranium and yet the pro war effort in the media continued. An Impeachable OffenseApril 3, 2007 April 1, 2007 What did the Courts do when confronted with a president who was breaking our laws? They looked the other way. AFter all, they put him in power and surely they couldn't have been wrong. An Impeachable OffenseMarch 25, 2007 With the systematic destruction of our constiutitonal rights by US government agencies, who needs terrorists? An Impeachable OffenseApril 3, 2007 April 2, 2007 April 1, 2007 Religious conservatives work for the most unethical and immoral president in history. Fiscal conservatives gave us mountains of debt. Foreign policy conservatives helped Bush lied to us about a non-existent threat to our national security. Social conservatives gave us legalized torture and the obliteration of the the Bill of Rights and conservatives on the Supreme Court and in congress allowed the Bush White House to get away with all these crimes. Maybe, just maybe the problem is conservatism. March 30, 2007 There's a zero percent chance we can find enough good republicans to end torture at Guantanamo Bay and now that the Supreme Court gave its blessing to the atrocities committed at Guantanamo Bay, this decision and the law that allowed this to happen will haunt the United States for the rest of time. In 2004, the Supreme Court said POWs had rights. This Supreme Court says they have no rights. Senators who confirmed Alito and Roberts need to be removed from office as soon as possible. April 2, 2007 April 2, 2007 April 1, 2007 If the US had the same gas mileage requirements as Europe we wouldn't have to import any oil from the Middle East. Bush supports bad business practices. April 3, 2007 The next three articles are about how the media helps Bush lie to us. Enjoy. I can see why this one is hard call for modern day journalists (also called lapdogs). Bush lies to us, they push his lies as being factual and then they attack Democrats for not believing in the lies they're helping to push. It was the same with with WMD, Whitewater and tax cuts. I remember the good old days when reporters learned the facts and exposed the lies. Real journalists know; who, what, where and when about any story they're writing about. Today's journalists and their editors take GOP talking points and call it news. March 29, 2007 Across the board the media has learned one things and it's learned it well. It knows it can lie to its readers with impunity. The Times lied about Whitewater, WMD and the war in Iraq. Do they ever plan on telling the truth? For the record: the NY Times is getting better, but it needs to fire more editors and more pseudo journalists. March 29, 2007 For years NBC had nothing but contempt for the truth. They hire right wing nuts who lie and they fired every anti-war liberal. The message is clear...if you want to work at NBC, tow the GOP Party line or else. The fact that 156 members of Congress voted against the war never entered in to the endless hype leading to war and the endless hype after the original hype was exposed as a lie. NBC, like all network and cable news is worthless. March 30, 2007 The military doesn't even try to hide its contempt of our laws anymore. March 31, 2007 These next four articles are about the "surge" or more accurately about the failure of the surge. Just last week the US military came out with numbers trying to prove the surge was working...those numbers were bogus. The real numbers suggest the surge has had the opposite effect - more Iraqi deaths, more US deaths, a former Sec. of State saying the war can't be won and the Iraqi president attacking the US occupation of Iraq. April 1, 2007 March 29, 2007 April 1, 2007 April 1, 2007 March 31, 2007 April 1, 2007 March 30, 2007 What took the government so long to prosecute? Incompetence? Sure, that's a given. Torture? Probably. I'd put money on it that he won't spend much more time in jail. They'll find a way to release him because these military trials are a farce. When the US government has to try people in secret we know it's up to no good. March 31, 2007An Impeachable Offense March 31, 2007 March 29, 2007 Broder is wrong on so many levels. Bush fired his entire budget staff and dozens of others in his first year. The media, including uninformed twits like Broder bought into this notion that Bush is loyal to his staff. Under the Resignations section of this website I stopped counting the resignations when the numbers got ridicules, but Broder thinks Bush is loyal to his staff, so that's what he writes. Is that opinion based on any known fact? Of course not. It's GOP hyperbole and spin. March 28, 2007 60 Senators voted to confirm Gonzales - they have a moral obligation to undo this wrong. An Impeachable OffenseMarch 29, 2007 March 30, 2007 The era of mindless journalism has come to an end. What will Fox and Tim Russert do now that the rest of the country has moved on? March 30, 2007 |
