Anti abortion governor takes big hit in the
poll
Freemarket News/Survey USA March 21, 2006 Gov. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) enjoyed a 76 percent approval rating in his state as recently as Sept. 19, 2005. On Feb. 13, 2006, his approval had slipped slightly to 72 percent. Then Gov. Rounds signed a bill that outlaws most abortions in the state this month. On March 13, SurveyUSA conducted a fresh poll that shows his approval ratings have fallen all the way down to 58 percent in just one month, with 38 percent disapproving and 5 percent unsure. Rounds had been holding steady in the 70 percent area since May 2005. Commentary: |
